"All My Heart In This My Singing"
A Weekend of Song with Jess & Dylan
Jess Dandy, contralto
Dylan Perez, piano
We are delighted to announce our upcoming weekend of song – "All my heart in this my singing" – coming live to you at 6pm this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7/8/9 August).
Below, you can find 'events' for each evening, where you'll be able to see viewing platform details, repertoire lists, and programme notes:
I. Out of mingled air & sparkle: an evening of German Song
Friday 7th August 6-7pm
II. The Eternal Ephemeral: An Evening of French Song
Saturday 8th August 6-7pm
III. Dwell in possibility –– Songs of America
Sunday 9th August 6-7pm
This series is free of charge, but we are asking for your support in funding our first album with fabulous sound engineer, Bobby Williams. The funding link is here:

"Music transports us" they say, and whoever they are, we're taking them literally. In one sense, we'll be very much in my South Cumbrian living room; in another, we'll venture into the Black Forest, take a dip in the Bodensee, before embroiling ourselves in the raucous shenanigans of a French village fête, and crossing the Atlantic to, amongst other places, Amherst, Massachusetts with a certain poet-in-residence, ultimately finding our "latitude of home".
We haven't made live music since March, and we're overwhelmed at the prospect of doing so again in less than a week's time. Just before lockdown, we made some stunning videos with our long-time collaborator, Bobby Williams, a wonderfully attuned and sensitive sound and video engineer, who strives for sound as close to a live, embodied experience as possible. We would like to make our first album together, and need your help to make this happen. If you've enjoyed any of our videos, please consider giving to our first album fundraiser. Pennies found down the back of the sofa, the £2.50 you never spent on a flat white, the £100 you feel inexplicably compelled to give, we will be hugely grateful for whatever you feel able to share with us. We have taken the decision not to charge for next week's event, but music is worth so much, and we hope you'll support us in making more of it.
